2003 Sonoma/S10 Questions
« on: February 18 2012, 02:39:13 PM »
Guys, my daughter's 97 Ranger has had the biscuit. It's going through antifreeze and now the clutch is fried. I tracked down this 03 Sonoma. Called the gentleman and it's been sitting in his garage for a year...so he'll likely part with it for less. Your thots guys.

Is her Ranger 2WD? I personally wouldn't go back to 2WD.
Get it cheap with 330K.

Her Ranger is 4WD. She's in a position where beggars can't be choosers.

If ya get that Sonoma, I wouldn't give him any more than 2g's for it. That's if it's good and solid and everything working. High kms on that one.
I'd ask if the intake gaskets have been done, they're prone to failure. 2wd less headaches, better mpg.

Thanks for the tip Jim. She'll likely stick her nose in the air when I tell her it ain't 4WD.

Have a good look under the front at the front cab mounts on that if you look at it. Have replaced a few sets, takes a fair amount of work to do it without taking the cab off.
