A rough start
« on: December 26 2011, 09:33:04 AM »
Bit of a rough start to the holidays, evening of the 23'rd-

I went to put the dogs out for the last piddle and the old
Canine patriarch could no longer make his limbs work and freaking at the
loss of motor skills.

A trip to the emerg vet into the wee hours and a well earned sleep with his
family at his side.

Our friend and guardian of almost 15 years (110plus human years).
Rest well Watson.

I like my dogs far more than most people.   I understand all too well.  Unrelenting love is hard to find.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Thanks guys. His littermate passed a couple of years ago after some bouts w cancers.
These were the dogs the now young adults grew up with so there was emotion...

Sorry to hear Dave. Lost my cat of 13 years to cancer a couple months back. I was a mess.

Sorry to hear it Dave. I had a beautiful Irish Setter we had to put down way to early. No pets since, I just won't go through it again.

dammm.. sorry to read this.  :( We just lost another one here Thanksgiving day.  But I see everyone here giving the dogs the greatest times of their lives while they were here.
