Stock Timing Chain Replacement

someone sent me a link regarding a stock replacement timing chain.  

This would be a good choice as it will work with the factory tensioner and be good for another 100,000 miles

Other aftermarket don't use a tensioner?

sorry, double roller chains don't use the factory tensioner...ch ews them up and dumps the debris in the oil pan

Lotsa people think they need a double roller on these engines and cause themselves grief

Double rollers are meant for engines with lots of valve spring pressure.  Our cars don't normally have that issue unless using a roller cam.

I've got nearly ten years the double-roller in my LC2... I wonder what it looks like today? Hmmmm...

I didn't see a picture of it but I originally bought a roller type chain for my car but later bought a flat link style so I could re-use the stock style tensioner. I have new plastic wear parts for the tensioner. One of these days I'll change it out. Hopefully, it will be this winter. I don't take my car to the track anymore. I drive it to a couple of cruise nights and that's about it. It doesn't mean the original one won't crap out anyhow. The last nylon timing sprocket that failed on me croaked idling at a stop light so there's no guarantees.
