Yea - sucks. Looking at some of his older posts - he put a decent amount into making it look good, while it seems it was running like shit. I think you should worry about getting it tuned and running right before worrying about the aesthetics. I dunno - I wish him well, but it seems a waste to get rid of all that quality hardware when it probably just needs a solid tune.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I'm not sure I understand the business model for the aftermarket engine management systems. Unless there is a huge markup in a $2k box you must not get much "tuning" time from the dealer.

I've got to believe a "tuner" wants to make shop rates for the hours he spend tuning your car.

Who pays for the Wizzard to fly out to a race to help tune his userbase?

If the megasquirt autotune works to get you in the ballpark it may be/become the only affordable option to the stock/enhanced ECM.

I think from the start alot of us get caught up on the bolt HP solutions. There is a point where it becomes an "awshit" moment and you have to decide: am I in over my head or do I need to study a bit more. Maybe this guy needs to study more.
