What's your oil pressure when hot, and you can hear the tapping?

Has a variety of uses.
Or if you are good you can do like the old timers do and us a wooden stick or broom handle to narrow it down or find it.

Not sure Steve on that injector comment, late night?

Cam sensor, lifter?

Nope...might be his imagination that oil changed the sound....some injectors are very loud

Most Buicks that I have seen have had some ticking noise from somewhere....I don't pay attention unless it suddenly gets worse or a different sound shows up...no use spending your life wondering if it is a piston pin or windshield wiper bearing

Try and run the engine with the Serpentine belt removed. Bad belt or idler pulley can make the same noise.

Oil pressure is good ( 50 warm and crusing) and its not an injector, I know that sound. I did try the long screwdriver trick held to my ear and checking around, no luck. Pulled the valve covers and held my hand on each rocker to see if I could feel anything or hear a change in noise...no luck. I kinda ended up where what Steve said, it just makes some noise and I gotta quit worring about it. Cant wait for the salt to get rained off the roads here so I can get it back out again!!

Want to get rid of the Flowmaster exhaust this spring and get the Pypes cat back system installed.

Thanks alot guys!!!
