I respectfully disagree...it is not the nature of man to be so logical. From the beginning, man has desired what the other man had, and wars have been ongoing.
When one analyzes the basis of most wars, it is not religion that really caused them. It gets down to basic economics. Religion is more like a flag that is used to justify the cause. I suspect that even Islam had its roots in economics given the conditions surrounding Mohammed at the time he began to receive the word of god or so he said.
The idea of one world government and peace on earth that is so widely promoted today seems to come from the hearts of the obscenely rich that believe they can get more so if they can eliminate government and create a playing field slanted in their direction.
that is my opinion, not yet an historical fact. yet is the operative word
