We bought our 86 GN to race for our son Thomas after he got out of the Jr. Dragster. He started school at UTI so I ran it last year. It's nothing special, we just wanted to continue to have fun bracket racing at Maple Grove and Cecil Co. but ended up racing more with our MAGNA bunch than anything. I ran in Pinks at maple Grove last year, running low 11's, had to weight it to stay in 11.50 index. That's pretty much the last it ran respectably. Steve might remember I had issues with it starting in June and still continue to wrestle with it. As a family we enjoy the track life, Thomas now brings his girlfriend when she's home from college. Hope this year goes better, I'm gonna soon get it out of the garage and make it see things my way, maybe you guys might have some thoughts.
.020 JE forged pistons, forged rods, steel crank, line bored and balanced, Champion heads, 60lb. injectors, front IC, TE60, TT SD chip, PL, Powerdex WB, Turbo 350 w/reverse manual valve body, C2 9" convertor, HE Performance custom cold air pipe. We run 110, no alky yet. Still have my 69 442 conv. I bought when I was a sr. in HS, 1975. Rebuilt my 1972 GMC Fleetside, turned out nice, DD 1994 Park Ave. Ultra turned 15.80 at the Grove 178K on the clock. I haven't figured how to post pic's here yet, if you want, I have some at MAGNA and Facebook: Gary Schatz Garage LLC till I figure it out.

My 3 cars are an 83 T Type, an 82 GN, and an 83 Regal. Not much going on right now other than side work but the 83 T is getting a much better turbo than stock and the 83 NA is probably going to end up as a parts car for the other 2. :bigeyes;  :redfaced;
And remember, when dealing with children, silence may be golden but duct tape is silver.

Yes, but do not get excited. It is a project that is nowhere close to done.
