New All That Remains album, "Overcome"

In a continuing effort to enrich your lives, you radio zombies, I have learned that All That Remains has a new disc out (a little late, I regret) and have posted a link for your review. Their previous cd "The Fall Of Ideals" is one of the most amazing things that I have ever heard (the earlier "This Darkened Heart" stunned me as well).

Seriously, for a couple of years these guys have been getting dangerously close to becoming my favorite band...this disc just might do it. I was in Oceanside California in 2004 for a funeral and was absolutely dejected...I needed music to help my mood and was coming up empty handed until I found their first album and decided to give it a shot. The song "Regret Not" immediately filled the void. Here they are still getting better. Here is the new single "Two Weeks":

Their drummer is a machine to rival the great Raymond Herrera- their vocalist is great in any style- the guitarists exhibit a virtuosity long absent from listenable music- they can be catchy without being simple, redundant or predictable- they are heavy, melodic and perfectly timed- they are bereft of posturing/pretense. Shit, man- this band does everything well.

You're the second person that I've heard (read) make that joke in as many days. I seriously don't see it, lol.
