A true artist!

Here is a vid clip of the late Ayrton Senna testing the Acura NSX and aiding in the development of the car. At the time he was a Three Time World Champion in F1 and considered by most to be the best driver to ever buckle up a helmet.

After a series of test sessions, Ayrton (pronounced eye-rr-tun), told the engineers that he felt the car was too fragile. They redesigned the entire car to his specs and in doing so produced one of the understated supercars of the period.

I have had the opportunity to drive a few of these cars at the track when I was instructing and these are some of the most neutral cars on the road. Really a pleasure to drive!

When it came to driving in the rain, there was no one better than Ayrton. He was the undisputed master in the rain to the point that it almost seemed he was the only one on dry pavement when all others were in the wet. The opening lap at Donington in 1993 is considered to be the best lap ever run in competition.

Very cool. Did anyone notice that he apexed early in two turns while driving the NSX ? He did some amazing recovery work the second time. I've driven one NSX that belongs to a customer. I was very impressed with it.

The Indy car in the rain was nearly flawless. Roger that drives our Scirocco has
a similar reputation for his ability to drive in the rain. When my boss first told me that, I was like OK. But I happen to overhear some other racers making the same comments. I swear if my boss were an Indian, he'd be doing a rain dance before every race because of that. Roger spent many years racing formula vees and Continenntals. At one point he'd race his continenntal and the Scirocco on the same days. But, that was long before I knew him. He taught a few popular racers how to drive. I'd love to see him and Greg do the Vulcan Mind Melt.

Yes! You can tell by the quick corrections in counter-steering he did.

Ayrton was an absolute Witch behind the wheel.

My hands would be sweating too!  The tires on the NSX looked awful small....
