My thinking is that the very image of the car itself attracts some people that are shall we say a bit off center.  The GNs in their day were played up by the automotive press as "Darth Vader" synister like cars with a barbarian type of character.  Come to think of it, that characterizati on isn't far off in my opinion.  

The downside to all this is that these cars attract a high percentage of dweebs looking to bolster their egos by owning a car with a manly image.  You know, these were the guys that always got sand kicked in their face back in elementary school.  Many of these owners are the guys that hurl on-line insults from the safety of their computers.  Hey, at least that's my theory which is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Well, the poor girl hasn't been tricked into saying "I do" yet.  The wedding isn't until October 23.  So the Vegas races if I can make it might be kind of a bachelor party for me.  :supz:

Who all is going to Vegas for the Nats this year?

I hope I can make it, but I'm pretty cash poor right now.  Nothing like getting married to empty a man's pockets out nice and proper.  I'm still walking funny after paying my credit card bill for the engagement ring.  What a ripoff and a bullshit custom having to give a ring is anyway. :smt071        

Right now the Cannery is showing $134 a night for a room which is a real ass kicker.  Shit that's more than I paid at Bally's right in the center of the strip last month.  I don't want to run the Cannery down since I've never been there but I do know it's in bumfuck nowhere on the north side of town, so I'm surprised it's so expensive.  Hell, maybe I'll stay at the Horseshoe downtown for $60 a night.  Sorry to sound like such a cheap ass, but after getting used as the proverbial tampon by the jewelery industry I don't have much choice but to be a mizer.

Now that I have your attention, just thought I would join this board since I see a lot of the familiar west coast faces here.  

I've been Buick(less) for nearly a year now (forgive me oh Lord I have sinned and know not what I have done).  I still want to keep in touch with the Buick community though, especially fellow degenerates of the first order like that Wells character. :rofl; Not to mention that Racer X guy that doesn't understand that when you come to a turn that just means you've reached the shut down area after your run.
