Lol Steve I didn’t take those pictures that would get me in trouble.
Pull the ECM and wiggled every wire and all seems fine.

General Buick Tech / Electrical issues

Car stared to stumble at idle and sometime shuts off, and also hard to start. all scan readings look fine except for battery voltage. so I know its the problem. I turned the key on and the volts on scan master go from 11v to 0v back and forth. gave the ECU panel a slap and it stopped. maybe time to replace the ECU pigtails  :( . once I get the car started and its stays running everything is fine. I have checked the battery cables and lines at the alternator,

nothing else has changed. I purchased the 9" from checkered racing which the mounts for g-body were done by them. the gear ratio is 3.50 , the mph has pretty much stayed the same. I did install it myself but it was very easy. but I have never check the pinion angle as I have no way of adjusting them at this point.

General Buick Tech / suspension upgrades?
« on: February 12 2019, 04:31:48 PM »
my car has been 1.49 60ft with the stock rear with home made boxes upper and lower and air bags on both sides and this was on drag radials
since I have change to the 9" rear my best 60ft is 1.57 with slicks, I cant get the DRs to hook and even have trouble getting the slicks to hook.

What would be the first think to upgrade?

General Buick Tech / Re: Power log -- getting some knock, need help
« on: December 11 2018, 11:15:17 AM »
Thanks Guys
I am not a comp racer I just go to the track to get times for myself. I do a lot of testing on a good road near home, most of it is 3rd gear hits that way when I get to the track all I have to worry about is the beginning of the run and the end. most of the time I am just making adjustments to 1st and 2nd gear fueling, the rest is usually safe at 760 @ 18 degrees with no Knock. My concern here was because of the higher boost psi would I have to worry about spark blowout, but I will add some fuel at WOT and see if that gets rid of the knock and if it does I should be OK.

my plan was not to add timing but take some away and get it closer to 18 degrees, I really like the feel of the 29 psi just kinda scared of the KR, but I am still at 128 setting on fuel (70 percent) duty cycle on that log. so I have room to add which makes me think that I can add enough to go the 1/4 mile at around 125mph.
Thanks for the help Scoob

After looking at the log again I may just need to add more fuel

General Buick Tech / Power log -- getting some knock, need help
« on: December 03 2018, 10:22:01 AM »
after recently putting a new cartridge on turbo and fixing the exhaust leaks I have gone from 24psi to 29 psi of boost. the car is running good but after data logging I noticed so knock, on the log I made two hits the first one the boost stayed at about 24-25 psi and no knock, I was not at full throttle, second hit at full throttle the boost was at 28-29psi and showed some knock, to me everything looks OK on the fuel readings etc. I was wondering could it be that I am loosing spark.
1) should I back off on timing
2) should I back off on boost
3) should I change gap on plugs

Any help appreciated
Thanks

I will installing new racetronix fuel line, I was wondering what to do with the vent line, do I need to keep it running to the front or can I just run it to the rear of the car, the canister has been removed for years.

IHADAV8 Playground / Re: Another shady GN guy?

My response to this tread was ONLY to say that Robert your are accusing someone of being shady when you only know one side of the story. I just hate seeing someone being called shady who has helped multiple turbo buicks owners  get their cars back on the road.
But I guess i am the bad guy for standing up for someone else, I am done with this tread.
