I'm running the 5.7 chip. The A/f idles around 13.2 to 14. I got the TC to lock up. The damn 4 prong connector wasn't plugged into the trans. My bad. I'm sticking with L/U. I appreciate the insight always but I'm sure I can achieve my goals with a L/U converter. Stock ECM yes. I'm going to send my converter back to PTC to have it restalled for my combo. I have it scheduled for the exhaust shop on the 23rd of this month. After the exhaust and the hood, I'll baby it around until it gets too cold. Winter project includes new fuel lines, UCA and LCA front and rear, springs and shocks, acquire the parts from CPT for a tranny rebuild. I'm weighing my options for the transmission job because there's a local place here in Illinois that's built some solid 200's for our cars so I may give him a chance. So much to do. As far as logging, I need to do my research on what I need so I can start posting logs. I appreciate you guys

Good morning and Happy Monday to all. Firstly I'm disturbed by Mike Christensen's passing. I had a good relationship with Mike and he will be truly missed. Casper's took care of me, as it turns out the buffer module itself was wired wrong. No more VSS codes. I dropped the tank over the weekend and installed a new pump and fuel sending unit. The car is idling a little rich after the swap so I'll have to adjust my idle numbers. The car is driving pretty good but I still don't have lock up function. Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure the car went into overdrive. I'll drive it again when I get home so I can verify. I love these cars despite the pain in the butt they are. The quick disconnect fittings are nice

Yeah I believe that I have been overtightening them. I'm going to purchase a torque wrench so I can ensure they are all the same. I have to do the same for the tranny pan as well. It's never ending

I couldnt agree more!! Now i have to figure out what I unplugged because this buffer module is not sending that signal needed for proper lockup functionality to the ECM. I unplugged the original VSS and connected Casper's module up, and according to the instructions, the LED is supposed to blink to verify proper operation. I've attached a drill to the end of the sender to spin it manually and I'm still not getting a blink on the module to verify the signal is being sent. I'm also getting a code 24 which I expect to get since the speedo cable is now removed. I installed a custom dash and I have to find what wire got unplugged. I'll double check the condition of the plug on the car. Maybe a pin isn't seated properly or something.

My next task is to retorque the heads to the proper requirements and find a way to stop these valve covers from leaking. I'll be on my way to Texas after that Lol

We're almost there guys! Aside from the TC not locking up, the car really drives nice. As I said, I haven't boosted it yet, but the pull I'm getting just getting out of vacuum to zero lbs of boost is so so nice.

Yes. Great customer service and wonderful people to do business with. I have another sender on the way. I tested the one I have by spinning it up with a drill while checking for the flashing LED on the buffer module. It never flashed so i plan to do the same test with the new sender once it arrives.

Guys!!!!! I cant stress how excited I am about this car. I hooked up the exhaust and she sounds amazing. I drove the car and it drives like a DREAM!!!!!! I didnt do too much gassing but the car FEELS so good under light acceleration. My transmission is shifting so strong and clean. I have a lot more to do but I'm so thrilled and satisfied so far with the car. There is a slight stumble when you barely touch the gas when it's drive. It clears up beyond that, but the barely touch of the throttle stumble has me stumped. The a/f reads lean when the stumble happens but I'm sure some more tuning can clear that up. I am a little bummed about my Caspers kit not working properly so I'm going to contact them about it. I think the sender that plugs into the tailfin of the transmission is bad because I'm only getting a solid led on the buffer module instead of the blinking led I should get when moving.

Ahhh, the sweet taste of progress. Lol. So, I changed the oil on the 4th of July and attempted to drive it. The car drove like shit. It was breaking up under any amount of acceleration, not shifting gears, and wanting to cut out. Went back to double check and the tv linkage wasn't set properly. Went back to the basics and got the cable set, adjusted the FP at idle to where it should be, and got the idle numbers to where they should be. Blm and int are both 128, idle A/f ratio is 13.9-14.8, and the FP was to 42lbs line off. Took the car for another drive and my goodness what a night day difference. Despite a few leaks, I think I'm going to put the hood back on it and get the exhaust buttoned up so I can drive down to Texas and chill at the farm with Steve Wood. Lol.

Got the downpipe installed and the car is idling very well. Next thing in line is getting the exhaust welded up and puttin the hood on. I hope you all are well
