General Buick Tech / Caspers Heated 02

Installed a heated o2 recently in my ride....a Caspers unit that plugs into the egr wiring.  My question is if I use a chip such as Bob Baileys that does not use the EGR Valve...will I still get power to the heated 02 sensor...
