Wow, so swapping the torque converter is a major pain in the ass, huh? Goddamn, I did it on Friday (with a lot of help) and I'm still friggin' sore.....it will NEVER be upgraded again!

well, that's part of the pain: having the car on jackstands and laying underneath it for hours removing and reinstalling the damn tranny.

better hope u have better luck then me, my converter bolts have come loose 3 times, and yes i use lock tight each and everytime.  :confused;

Hey, it was my first time.....and my fucking last. Plus, the head broke off of the first bolt we put in through the fly wheel, plus a fusible link on my starter had worn bare and arced on the crossover pipe causing a lot of smoke and concern that my solenoid would now be fried......etc ., etc., What a long, shitty day.

Get over it you bitch. I R&R'd my tranny 3 times last year. It only gets easier next time. I know where you're sore too, your neck and shoulders are all fucked up from holding that bitch up, huh? And hey, I use factory torque converter bolts, no longer available from Buick, but the same as a Monte Carlo SS, graded metric bolts with thread locker on it factory. $2 each, or if you're like me, free because you were doing a girl in the parts department.

The 9.8 bolt snapped under 60 lbs. of torque....what a bunch of shit....


...lucky you- the rest of us are getting screwed BY the parts department.
