Gotta make a run...I'll update y'all later. There on though.
-
Sweet. Pics up post, you must.
-
I'm gettting a bung welded on my DP. That wont go on till tomorrow. The pass side was cake, easier than the drivers side.
I have a problem though. The pass header touched the brake lines on the frame. WTF do I do now?
Pics will come.

The brake line should be right up against the back side of the engine
crossmember, and held in with some little brackets. I'll wait to see the pics.

I actually ment to say tranny cooler lines. The close up pic, see the yellow circle? Thats where the header is touching. The far pic showes the general area.
-
Very nice. Any seat of the pants improvement would you say?
-
It looks like you'll have to re-route the transmission lines. Don't
leave it like that, because the extra heat will destroy the best of transmissions.
They do fit tight though. What are you using for motor mounts ?
-
Havent drivin it yet.
Damn re-routing the lines. That sucks. Any suggestions?
Poly mounts from hrparts.

I'd go over the control arms with high temp sleeving over them.

Temporarilly, yes.
-
yeah, actually it would huh. Not a chance though.

What lines are thoes? They dont go to my tranny.
Anyways, I had to reposition the positive wires on my starter. It was a bitch, tight fit, but thats done. I had the wires facing the headers, I rotated them downward for extra room.
I got thoes lines about an inch away from the headers. What I did was take that little bracket and mod it a little and turned it backwards. Pauly and I pushed on the lines till we got the bracket to fit backwards. Not too bad.
The hardest part was getting the "leak proof" clamps on the crossover. Holy crap was that a bitch. When we figured it out it wasnt too bad.

Cool. how does the car go with them ?
-
Still aint got the DP back yet. Thats the ONLY thing left to do. Oil pans tight now, lol.
I also figured out what was wrong with my stereo. I swear I checked my fuse about two years ago. Never used my radio because I thought it was fried. It was the frickin' fuse. Ugh. Now, half my plans over. Now I need to get a bucket >D
-
Cool, it sounds like things are going together well.
-
the car is back together but my drivers side is freakin' leakin'. I torcued them to 37 ft/lbs. Time to tighten more.
-
I'm suprized that they leaked at all.
-
My radio works but my CD player dont. I put a CD in and it clicks and ejects the disk.
I tightened two of the dr header bolts...the leak isnt as bad. I'm going to tighten them all now to 41 ft/lbs

What are you using for gaskets ?
-
nuttin!

nuttin!
Try a little film of grease between the headers, and head. If
that doesn't work, you may have to use gaskets.
