Title: mysterious oil leak found...
Post by: shmed on September 06 2013, 06:06:23 PM: well after looking for what seems to be forever i finally located my oil leak...
the damm plastic line that comes with the oil pressure gauge sprung a leak under the coil pack.
the fix..
copper yes a roll of soft copper.. bye bye oil leak

Post by: motorhead on September 06 2013, 08:51:22 PM: VDO used to include copper lines for their oil pressure gauges... had to tin a few ferrules to the line after it cracked and needed to be reamed out. But, that was more from my mishandling of parts.

That copper line is still in the car attached to a pressure transducer.
