Title: New Exhaust
Post by: Shimy87 on August 26 2013, 12:04:21 PM
Exhaust pipes have some holes rusted in them so time to replace from cat back. I like the Pypes system but kinda pricey just under $400. Have heard good things about the sound of this system also. What is another good alternative with maybe a lower price?

Thanks!!

Pricey? The first time I replaced exhaust I bought GM parts at employee pricing and it was over $700 just for parts.
Matter of perspective I guess. Hooker? not much cheaper...

nyc mandrel bent 3" is about 1200-1400 with mufflers.. so yea that 400 seems good. even if you have some one install it ure ahead of the game. i would do ass much as you can and if u  get stuck let some one finish it off

It's not that much work to do it you can get the old off....

I spent more than 400$ building a temporary 3" system for my Challenger this spring and I quit at the rear axle and called it good enuf

thats nuts...had my exhaust done years ago...from the cat back the exhaust cost me $208? That's with the mufflers.  The guy who did it used his own piping, and built the exhaust. Still together!!

Ain't that the truth.  A co-worker had an exhaust custom built from cat back.  All stainless with welded bends, it was $1700.00. :O   It did look nice and sounded really good for a 4 cylinder, not an obnoxious sound like some 4 bangers.
