Title: analog dash electrical connector plug
Post by: xpander343 on August 15 2013, 06:49:05 PM
hey guys

I was taking my cluster out to fix a few issues with it and I seem to have damaged the plug that goes into the back of it.  I'd like to just replace the one terminal that I broke on the male side of the plug.  I was searching caspers website and I didn't see what i think I need.   Any suggestions where to find this style of terminal?

No way to straighten it out? It's a very basic interference fit connector..

If you have to replace it, you will probably have to use a used one.

The bottom one is actually broken right off.  It was just placed there for photo reference.  Maybe i can contact caspers or racetronix tomorrow see if they have it.

Steve if you guys used that amphenol 25 pair connector - thats about the only thing that's close.
I hacked one of those for my Novatel cell-phone-in -the-trunk repair

Hey dave.  I found a couple of the connectors you were talking about.  I pulled a couple of the spring terminals but i think they will be too small.  I phoned caspers and they think they have what i want.  Will know better this afternoon.
