Title: While the motor is out.....
Post by: SuperSix on August 28 2011, 11:18:06 AM
What should I get done in the engine compartment?

My list so far:
Relocate fusible links
Replace entire front suspension (all but shocks/springs, they are in decent shape)
Clean and paint area
Replace any remaining vacuum lines
Possibly run new, larger gauge wiring from battery to alternator, and run larger gauge wire to power hungry circuits.

Added, with contributor:
Hotwire headlights - Steve Wood
Inspect rubber fuel line section in front frame - TopSpeed
Anything else? Comments?

be a good time to provide a relay feed off the battery to the headlights with at least 12 gauge wire

Added - Thanks!

Check the rubber portion of the fuel lines.

Good idea, I gave them a cursory inspection, I will examine more closely. Thanks!

Bot added above - keep 'em coming!
