Title: After market bumpers for trucks
Post by: gordyzx9r on August 27 2011, 10:09:09 PM
Thinking of getting after market replacement bumpers for my '06 GMC 2500 HD.

Looked at Road Armor, a bit too expensive.

Kinda like the Ranch Hand and Frontier stuff.

Kinda like this for the front:

And this for the rear:

And for a tannaue cover I want one of these (but it'll be in black):

Planning on hunting? Or pushing hybrids around?

lol...the truck should be like a tank after this.  It's a 4 door with an 8' bed so it's already a bit of a monster.  Bought the replacement bumpers, leveling kit, and that tannaeu cover today.  Probably look at putting in a cold air kit and an exhaust in a few months, I already have a programmer for it.

Well, here it is...

I had the tannaue cover sprayed with Line-X when they manufactured it.  I think it looks pretty good and matches up with the bumpers.  I also had a leveling kit installed.

Looks really nice!  :icon_super:

Just remember, LOTS of leverage on the top of that front bumper!

I would think about additional braces if it only uses the factory bolt locations!
