What's the cheapest, easiest, quickest way?
-
Do you have R-12 or 134a or your car? Start a poll, because I have R-12, Phil has 134a.
-
Mine is stock...what kind do I have?
-
Look on your compressor. It'll say on the sticker.
-
I still use R12 - I hoarded a case a few years back. I will go to 134 next time, with an upgrsaded condenser.
-
S6, wanna sell some?
:evil;
Okay, I'll look and see which kind I have, but does that drastically change the procedure for recharge?
-
Not really. Just changes the price.

Well, I'm gonna check it tonight and I hope that you'll have good instructions for me (like always) because I don't trust that DVD they sell at AutoZone on the subject.
-
I don't know dick about A/C, I lost my charge long time ago and don't care.

-
Sylvan, could you fwd it to me? Future reference.
Natty, you working on that bible yet?
-
Stock, they're R-12. Do the R-134a conversion. Its cheaper.
Have someone put a vacuum in the system before you
recharge it. Otherwise you'll run into problems later on.
-
Rob, can you explain the whole vacuum thing?
Robert, I'll try and forward it to you in a few.
-
Bible will not be done for one hell of a long time. I do have resources for days though.
-
Rob, can you explain the whole vacuum thing?
Basically, you don't want any air in the system. It has numerous
adverse affects. If you apply a vacuum to the system, it'll ensure
that there is only refridgerant and oil in the system.
