This Powermaster (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7985937127&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT) looks funny, what's wrong with this?
And what the heck is this thing (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7986037660&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT) used for?
-
Powermaster looks normal to me ... but
-
Fucking ridiculous, you can do it buy hand. It would only be useful if I used it more than once.
-
Natty, the only thing that makes having the Casper tool nice is that you can set the cam sensor while the engine is still on the stand. It also makes it nice if the engine is in the car. You don't have to probe any wires ...just plug it in and rotate the cam sensor until the led lights up.
-
That powermaster looks nothing like the one that is mounted in my car, and mine is stock.
I kinda figured that ATR piece was a gimmick item.
-
just curious ...what year car do you have? better yet could you post a picture of your powermaster? you have me wondering now. The one in the auction looks like the 3 have sitting shelf with the exception that the one in the auction most likely works properly
-
I have an '87 GN. My reservoir is different, and my assembly is silver, not black.
-
oh okay ...yea the reservoirs are different. My guess is that the ebay one may be one for a caprice. same basic unit just made in the 90's

A turbo timer (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33742&item=7987324079)? Anyone use this or something similiar?
-
A turbo timer is an import thang.
-
FWIW & IMHO:
Just for comparasion's sake, I have had 5 '86-'87 turbo Buicks, and none of them had a powermaster that looked like that. Seems to have the updated accumulator ball & grey switch, but the main body should be silver color, or approximating a silver color, and the gold on the electricial motor unit shouldn't be quite so gold. The gold color on the standard, as in usual or normal, and not as in Standard manufacturing Company comes from a Cad plate or cadium process, or a process called iridite dip, which is pretty standard in the manufacturing or aerospace industry for minor rework or touch-up for cad plated parts. Yours almost looks like a gold colored/tinted applied paint. I will attach a picture of a unit that is unretouched and a brand new powermaster unit of known origin. That is probably from a different model of Buick, as you say, but it is not from a turbo Buick.
-
Gary...I should have bought that damn thing when I had the chance. But no, I put it off thinking no one would buy that for awhile from Kirban...damni t. I kinda figured something was wacky about the one I posted, oh well. And alot of people bid on that ATR gimmick item.
-
Gary your mean, how could you do that to gordy? :rofl;
-
Gordyzx9r: Did you win the bid and buy it?
That unit will work on a turbo Buick by changing the bake fluid resevoir, I have heard.

Oh hell no. I want a NOS one, but I want one that would have been correct for our cars. I already have a nicely done reman, and a used one that I was guaranteed :jerkit; would work. They're just spares as my stock one is still working fine (knock on wood).
Hey Gary, my Nanny just got divorced, I could hook you up for say, a NOS Powermaster Assembly.

How old is she?
Is she house broken?
Is she attractive?
Does she own any guns or turbo buicks ?
send pics of the guns and turbo buicks.
I wouldn't have to trade you. She would probably put me in the grave the first night and then you could get everything
-

How old is she?
Late 30's.
Is she house broken?
She's a nanny, she cleans house like nobody I've ever seen before (she takes cotton swabs with alcohol to clean into the nooks and crannies of my daughters toys even). She's a shitty cook as far as american is concerned, but she makes some decent Philipino dishes (she's Philipino BTW).
Is she attractive?
:vom: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Does she own any guns or turbo buicks ?
No guns and no cars, not sure she even knows how to drive.
I wouldn't have to trade you. She would probably put me in the grave the first night and then you could get everything
I get everything if you leave us? Cool, alright, I'm printing this out and sending it to my lawyer and I'll get a copy of the paperwork to send out to you monday for signature. I didn't realize you loved me enough to give me everything, Sylvan will be disappointed as he really wanted your T.
Don't scratch my T now Gary, or the Vette. And my dad will love the bike.

Tell your target, oops, I mean attorney to feel completey safe in delivering that in person.

NOS Steering Wheel (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7994186574&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT) went for $555. Wow, I paid alot less than that for a refurbished one awhile back.

Who makes these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7995060891&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT)?

This is a nice looking TR...but it doesn't look silver to me, it looks more like it's aquamarine.
